And so a busy fall is capped off with our largest project yet, the paving of the driveway! The owner of the company shows up to do the grading himself, ripping out roots and manipulating slope to address our water drainage issues…
While the crew is hard at work, I finish the floor of the laundry room and nook under the stairs and start building custom shelving to squirrel away all of our construction materials that will freeze outside. Alfie enjoys a stint parked in the yard beneath a matching maple:)
Just like that, we have a driveway! And lots of landscaping to do in the spring…
But for now, we feel more comfortable and prepared for this winter than any yet:) A little bit of Christmas lighting celebrates the milestone!
