Estate: The Cat

Born on the streets of East Oakland, having spent the last 8 years eating rat heads dodging bullets and fighting ferals, Socket is a country cat at last! He was on leash a mere 2 days before we trusted him to the Great Outdoors (only during the day when we are there though…he might be tasty to a spring Black Bear.) Trees and Boats and Water and Grass, oh my! He steps gingerly over all these new Paw sensations and spooks easily, sprinting faster than we ever believed El Gato Gordo could go.

Socket has not even come close to capturing his new nemesis, The Chipmunk in the Woodpile. I will need to get a better camera to start photographing all of Sockets favorite Bird species as well, which he stalks around the LBJ Memorial Well. In a Socially Distanced fashion (the Style of the Times) we have met Cassie and Chivas, the Dogs, and Mr. Marmot, the Marmot.

With all this excitement and unfruitful stalking, Socket spends most of his day exhausted and passed out on a multitude of Futons and antique chairs. I have managed to convince him to join me at Lawn Yoga a few times:)
