We have 128 ft. of river frontage just past a riffle that flows into Downing Pond. (They call them “ponds” up here, but it’s a lake to me. Probably pull a sword out of it one of these days.) As spring progresses, water lilies and Canada Geese, turtles and Blue Herons (yet to be photographed) begin to pop up everywhere. Mussel Shells glisten on the shallow bottom and Dragonflies hitch a ride.
And they left us boats! (Some of them with dead mice in them, but whos counting?) Here we are on our first paddle boat ride. We wind up 3 for 4 in seaworthy vessels. The other paddle boat has a tree growing out of it.
