The sun does occasionally shine, and when it does, it’s time for a paddle! Here on Marsh Pond, the water is calm and clear, reflecting the sky above and revealing old roots below. The white waterlilies continue to bloom and look like little puffy water clouds from a distance.
Back on our own pond, the mirror effect is in full force on this gentle July evening. I paddle to the far side and dock near the dam to explore for a bit before sunset.
I have yet to get a closer shot of a Blue Heron than the one on the left (yes, there is a bird in the far middle!) But our friend Todd and his fancier phone camera snapped this fella who landed right in front of us on the river!
