We couldn’t have chosen a more complicated method for building these raised veggie beds (notching felled trees to assemble log-cabin style!). But finally they are ready to be filled with soil and receive crops of broccoli, cabbage, carrot, spinach, pea, bean, tomato and pepper!
In the flower gardens, we enjoy the season of pinks, purples and whites and even craft a few Peony and Iris bouquets!
Between bed making, I have been enjoying my time exploring greenhouses and tending a local flower garden. We have acquired 3 blueberry plants and an Asian Pear that await planting!
Truckload after truckload of free soil and mulch slowly made its way from the dump to our riverfront retaining wall. Now we have a beautifully poison-ivy free bank, planted with natives to eventually grow in and reinforce the slope! But there is still a LOT more clearing and burning to do…Happy Summer Solstice!
What’s the perspective on the foxglove? It looks like it’s ten feet tall with flowers the size of church bells.
The boots throw you off…about 4 feet tall with bells that would fit on your thumb:)
Amazing photos and talents, as always!!
Nice job 😊
