Day Without Water

Goodbye gas tank, goodbye plumbing! We have disattached the old (smelly!) system so that the pipes can be easily cut out of the walls as we rebuild the foundation. Working late into the evening by citronella candle, our temporary system dangles loosely from the interior walls. We almost have water again by bedtime…but for one measly wrong sized part!

Here Brandon works on rigging up the old hot water heater and pressure tank to our rigged up sink in the middle of the kitchen. We will eventually replace the whole system with brand new shiny tanks and filtration, but it will be nice to wash dishes and have hot showers in the meantime.

It will also be nice to cook at our nice little shaded grill and firepit set up until we have our propane tanks delivered and hooked up!

Not that we were ever completely without water, in fact we are surrounded by it! Here are some “tasteful nudes” of Brandon bathing and shaving in the river. Actual outdoor shower coming soon…!!!
