Progress on The Estate halted somewhat, out of necessity, for the extended Holiday season and the coming of winter! Good times were spent up North and with Friends and Family as the world quietly froze around us.
We spent Christmas in Ohio, wearing T-shirts outside! After a week away, we return in the darkness to an exciting new world, adorned in shimmering white by a series of ice and snow storms. Socket boldly steps into his first experience of real snow, Ho Ho!
In the bright beauty of the following day, we survey the damage and begin gleefully shoveling. (Not Everyone hates shoveling!) Natures’ most exciting design, with a little help from physics, is a 2 ft long snow curl extending off the high roof and pointing icicle daggers back at the upstairs windows!
No, we do not fear the arrival of winter, we celebrate it! With ice dancing, cross-country skiing, Tiny Snowmen, and FIRE! Oh, and speaking of fire…the new hearth for our wood stove is almost done…time to get back in the Groove!
