Over the last few weeks of unfrozen ground, our drainage trench system was completed! All roof gutters and well overflow now make their way to Trickle Creek:)
With Brandon’s diligent spotlight chopping and a visit from axe wielding parents, a full cord of dumped firewood slowly made its way into dry storage corners. And a roof magically assembled itself over the compressor. Cheers to winter warmth!
More winter warmth arrived in the form of rugs and woodstove circulation fans! Our drying herbs are pleased.
After Thanksgiving we return with a hand-me-down Snow Blower! A first dusting of snow blanketing the riverbed and our sleeping gardens greets us.
Holiday decorations go up as the pond calmly freezes. With one week to go before Jingle Bells, a proper storm puts Snow Blower to work for the first time!
