As the Daffodils bow their heads, the spring clock is ticking to get a jump start on this years projects!
The first focus was cabinetry. The island top still needs to be re-stained, but boy is it nice to have a counter high surface! After the first lower cabinet went in, gears swiftly shifted to more pressing outdoor necessities…
While the ground was still soft from winter melt, the entire front garden was removed and moved downhill to make room for future driveway parking improvements! Mr. Marmot peeked out from under the shed momentarily to check on our progress…
Transplants were also added to new erosion control beds down by the riverbank…just in time to witness Brandon take a shivery canoe crash! So close Buddy, so close…
Three yards each of garden soil and mulch slowly make their way to all the existing beds as well as our new raised veggie beds, special trees, and a new Fruit Salad Tree! (We are skeptical about this 5 way graft of nectarine, plum, apricot and two cherries…but it will certainly be entertaining to try!)
Trail Signs, Porcupines and Flower Finds. A messy shop and wood to chop. We’ll make it through this muddled May Mess yet!
You have made amazing progress. Love the “new” island top and all the plantings! Looking forward to a personal tour of The Estate this summer 🏡🐿️🥕🌻🏡
